ISD delivers training simulators through ACR to Saudi Arabia
ISD TECHNOLOGIES will through its new business partner ACR International deliver a complete simulation and training system for fighter controllers to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).
ISD TECHNOLOGIES and ACR International have signed a contract where ISD is designated to deliver a simulation system for training of fighter controllers. Starting in 2005, ACR is establishing a training centre for RSAF, “Centre of Excellence”, intended for air force personnel.
“Our contract is a very important step in our international expansion, and proves that our simulation and training systems are very competitive”, says Lars Jonsson, Vice President of ISD.
“We feel very confident in the ISD products and consider this agreement a platform for a continued expansion in the region as well as in other markets”, says CFO Arne Stokke of ACR.
In summer 2006 ACR, Aviation Capacity Resources International AB wins another contract in Saudi Arabia together with RSAF, Royal Saudi Air Force.
In spring 2005 ACR acquired their first contract in Saudi with the aim to build an academy for air traffic controllers. Twenty students and 10 instructors are currently enrolled in the programme. The project is a success and ACR has consequently been awarded a new contract with the plan to build a Centre of Excellence within air traffic control and weapon control. The first contract is worth approximately 15 million SEK running for two years and the new contract is worth approximately 50 million SEK, running for at least three years.
" That ACR has been given the confidence from the Royal Saudi Air Force to deliver another project is a confirmation that our business profile is successful. We will submit at least another two projects in the region before the end of the year. " Says CEO Mr Mohtasim Hussain.
ACR has the intention to run and operate air traffic control services in Sweden. During autumn 2006 the Government will take a decision to abolish the monopoly in air traffic services as has been achieved in other European countries.
